GoCycle Folding Electric Bikes
So passionate was Richard Thorpe about creating the perfect ebike that he left a dream design job with McLaren Cars (high-end racing car company from the U.K.). With his experience in designing lightweight racing car components and enthusiasm for innovative engineering excellence, Richard believed that an ebike should be elegant, desirable, a joy to live with and fun. GoCycle was born, debuting at Eurobike in 2012.
All GoCycle bikes include a monocoque (1-piece molded) frame designed for high strength and low weight. A single bladed fork and rear swingarm are suspended to increase ride comfort and control. The drivetrain is fully covered, keeping your clothing clean when riding or carrying your GoCycle.
The frame geometry is such that as your raise the seatpost and handlebar, the cockpit expands as well - making a one size fits all frame truly possible.
Wheels remove quickly and easy and frame folds to a compact size. Overall weight is under 40 lbs, making the GoCycle the lightest weight electric folding bike around.
Charge the GS or the G3 on a unique space-saving docking station. The GoCycle phone app offers useful feedback about your electric bike speed, range, battery life, etc.
The G3 offers several upgrades over the entry level GS model including integrated lighting and battery/gear indication built into a custom handlebar. Electronic shifting, internal cable routing, 50% shorter charge time and kickstand substantiate the higher price tag of the G3.
The GoCycle is unlike anything we have in the store and must be seen to be believed. Come take a test ride on the car-free Ohlone bikeway adjacent to our Berkeley store.
The GoCycle G3 - Features include quick-release wheels, integrated lighting and dashboard on handlebar, and unique docking station. Starts at $4500.
